See how it works
Three reasons it’s a better bib.
One design for baby and you, with an absorbent shelf
and a silicone interior to help it settle into place.

Use it around baby, then turn it for your shoulder when it’s time to burp. A separate parent strap keeps the shoulder configuration in place, so the same bib works for both of you.
The wraparound shelf gives spit-up somewhere to land, and the soft fabric soaks it up. Coverage at the front and back helps keep it from running down your shirt during burping.
The design pairs non-toxic, washable materials with a flexible silicone interior to help the bib hold its shape. Soft fabric cushions the contact points, with less loose cloth to rearrange when you’d rather be sleeping.
One clever little idea. Two ways to care.
Burp time deserves a little backup. The parent configuration uses its own stretch strap to help keep the absorbent shelf over your shoulder, catching little spills toward your front and back.
A soft, wraparound shape gives little spills somewhere to land. The rear baby closure and gently supported absorbent shelf are being developed for a comfortable fit during supervised, awake time.
Concept in development. Final fit and safety testing are ahead. Always remove bibs before sleep.

A note from Emily
For the feeds, the shoulder cuddles, and the moments when you could really use another hour of sleep.
I’m Emily, a mom of two, and I’m creating mybetterbib because I want one less thing to juggle when my hands are already full of baby.
After a feed, I want to bring my little one to my shoulder without rearranging a cloth or wondering where the spit-up will land. That’s why this design changes direction for baby and mom, with an absorbent shelf to catch spills before they run down the front or back of a shirt.
The silicone interior is about less adjusting at midnight. Non-toxic materials and easy washing are about making everyday care feel simpler. Those are the choices I’m building around, with soft fabric where it touches you and your baby.
If you’re in those early weeks, this is for the little moments you know so well. I hope you’ll follow along as I bring the idea to life.

Read the guidemybetterbib is one bib designed for baby and mom: change its direction to switch from baby’s bib to coverage over your shoulder for burping. Its soft, absorbent wraparound shelf is designed to catch and soak up spit-up before it runs down the front or back of your clothes. A silicone interior helps the bib hold its shape. The product is in development.
Change the bib’s direction to switch between baby use and shoulder use. On baby, it fastens with a rear closure during supervised awake time. On mom or another caregiver, a separate stretch strap holds it over the shoulder; the baby closure is not used. The absorbent shelf is intended to catch spit-up on both sides of the shoulder. Final fit, instructions, and sizing will follow development and testing.
Yes—easy machine washing is part of the design brief, alongside non-toxic materials, absorbent fabric, and a silicone interior. We want it to stand up to everyday use and repeated washing. Final material specifications, care instructions, dryer suitability, and wash-test results will be confirmed before the product is offered.
